Dogs on
Urban Hikes
It is a possibility that you can bring your dog. Talk with
Lori before bringing any dog to a urban hike. We are in and out of parks and
neighbourhoods,
which means your dog would be on-leash most of the time. While in the
off-leash areas the dog could run free. The hikers enjoyment comes first and
foremost on our hikes. If you can keep control of your dog, and your dog
is one of those good-natured, happy-to-be-alive types, than it will work fine.
After you join us once with your dog it will be clear if the arrangement will
work.
The Down Side of Dogs
joining Frogs
When we do training on stairs, dogs tend to get in the way.
They may have to be tied-up while the owner trains. I have found that hikers
who bring dogs tend to fall behind the group as they pick up doggie do-do or
visit with other dogs. This is the down side of bringing a dog since we don't
like to alter the group hike to wait for dogs.
